4/29 sketch

a friend of a friend found this cool website (after someone attempted to rob him, in front of his own home) where you can "sketch" someone's face and give it to the police. Here's a sketch I did of myself. I forgot to give myself a chin. dang it!

I battle this mold every year. It grows on the shrubs in front of my house. I think it makes a pretty picture.

I started doing this with my friend Erin after she moved to New York. I send her a photo and she'll send me one. We call it Pic of the day. Although it doesn't happen every day. :)

Above is a fig leaf. I first saw a fig tree at Kellie's new house. I am slightly obsessed with them now. I love their leaves and love the way the branches grow. I desperately want mature fig trees in my yard, since my house is up for sale. I will have to wait...
Right now I'm trying to root cuttings, I got from Polly.

Birthday Party!

This weekend I had the best birthday party ever. I would never throw parties because I never thought my house was big enough. I always thought if it rains then people would be stuck inside. Well this weekend was my 35th birthday party and it poured and thundered and lightninged (can you believe that's a real word) and people still showed up and still had fun. :)
